Sunday School Officer's Responsibilites
- Sunday School Superintendent
- Secure and assist teachers; responsible for S. S. promotion; gives input to Education Committee concerning S. S. curriculum.
- Sunday School Secretary
- Distributes and collects attendance books; collects, counts and records S. S. offering; records attendance.
- Assistant S. S. Secretary
- Fulfills duties of absent Secretary.
- Cradle Roll
- Lists new births; visits new parents and babies; acquires rose for Sunday morning presentation and recognition.
Qualifications for Elders and Deacons
ELDERS are described in the Bible as being both shepherds and bishops. As shepherds they must be spiritual men who care about people, are sensitive and approachable, and are involved in meeting the needs of others. As bishops they are the decision-making body of the church.
DEACONS are servant leaders who work under the oversight of the elders to see that certain ministries/tasks are accomplished either by themselves or by a ministry group they recruit. This frees up the elders to do more of their shepherding ministry.
